Argumentative Essay
This was one of the first pieces of argumentative writing I did in my college career, and I wanted to include it, not only because it was something I enjoyed writing on a topic I cared about, but because I wanted to use it as a starting place to chart my growth as a writer through my college career.

Research Proposal
A lot of my writing in the ePortfolio is based on more social or artistic issues, but a large component of my identity as a writer is using my writing for scientific research. This proposal was unlike anything else I have taken on in my academic career, and it represents my writing as it pertains to future career goals.
